About Leewards Therapeutic Consultancy

Leewards Therapeutic Consultancy was founded out of a desire to see more specialised counselling support for families in the west of Melbourne as well as in response to a need identified by many organisations to have more support and education in the areas of sexual assault and family violence. Our founder, JoyLee Kilpatrick, has worked extensively in this field and in addition to being the primary practitioner at Leewards, also works as a Therapeutic Services Team Leader and Counsellor Advocate for a government funded organisation which provides support for individuals who have experienced sexual assault and family violence. 

We are passionate about supporting families and organisations to not only deal with the immediate crisis that often arises following a disclosure or experience of sexual assault or family violence but to find ways to recover, heal and thrive individually and within communities.
